Tim did his undergraduate medical degree from Grooteschuur Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa in 1993. His specialist training in ENT Surgery was on the East of England rotation in the UK. This was based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital (Cambridge University Hospital). He received excellent training in all aspects of adult and paediatric surgery on the rotation. There was a strong emphasis on Otology (ear surgery) at both Addenbrooke’s Hospital (Mr Axon, Gray and Moffat) and Ipswich Hospital ( Mr Yung). He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in London in 2006.
Tim’s training in Ear surgery was complemented by an Otology Fellowship under Mr Moffat, a world renowned skull base and ear surgeon, at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in 2006/7.
For the next seven years, he worked as a Consultant ENT Surgeon with a special interest in otology and balance disorders at Dorset County Hospital, in Dorchester, England.
Tim moved to Melbourne in August 2013 to enjoy the sunshine! He currently works as an ENT Surgeon at Western Health and Northpark Private Hospital. Tim lives in Melbourne with his wife and children. He enjoys being a father and is an avid sports fan.
